Oregon: Harney County Fails To Oust Judge Grasty But Scores Big On Holding Him Accountable

Judge Steve Grasty is the top elected official in Harney County Oregon, is hopeful that the refuge takeover will soon and his community can begin to heal. He has held his job, similar to that of a county executive, since 1999. This past month has been rough are the refuge occupation has caused deep divisions in his community.

News from Harney County Oregon couldn’t be better.  Judge Steven Grasty was forced to be held accountable today with a 30% yes vote to oust him out of office.  Reports from people on the ground are saying, it may not have been enough to get rid of him – but it sure does send a clear message that not everyone in Harney County wanted to keep him.

A message from the minority; We’re Just getting Started

There was a 30% YES vote, and that should send a message that he is not God. That’s 30% of the County that do not agree with him. Grasty should humble himself and realize that he may have the majority now but history proves the strength of the minority can cause enough resistance to tip the scales.

 We go back to work starting again tomorrow. There needs to be a continuous forward motion if that 30% hopes to grow and make positive changes.

Grasty came under fire by local residents after his widely criticized handling of the Malheur Wildlife Refuge Occupation, that many believe led to the death of Arizona rancher, LaVoy Finicum.  But even before the Occupation, residents knew of corruption in their local government but were too fearful to speak out.  Many accuse Steven Grasty of purposefully working with the Federal Government to keep businesses from coming to Harney County so they can keep a tight grip on the population and control of the lands.  As it stands over 60% of all residents who live in Harney County work for the government. Unless and until politicians like Steven Grasty are replaced with politicians who will start allowing other businesses to move into the County, [that are not government owned] — the people expect to see little change.

It’s all good if you are part of that 70% who make your living working for the Government, but for the rest of us it’s a living nightmare, says one resident I spoke with late last night – after the votes were counted.

If they get pissed off at you for any reason, they can run you out of town or make you miserable if you stay. That’s how they do it here. That’s how Grasty has it rigged to work in favor of him and the people who work for the Government. If the people who voted to keep Grasty in office thought for one second they could get away with it, they would set up a gallows  and start lynching every single one of us who oppose them; That’s how far they would go, and that is no joke. It took a lot of courage for that 30% to call him out.

It is being estimated that 42% of the people in Harney County didn’t vote at all.  The 42% who are still sitting on the fence, or still too fearful to vote, are who the grassroots movement says they hope to win over.

YOU CAN HELP

If you are interested in helping the people of Harney County to continue their fight against corruption please consider sponsoring the Malheur Redress, a new local newspaper dedicated to change and progress by delivering real news to the local community.  If the new upstart media outlet fails, the paper’s founder feels it will slow down the progress for a more fair and balanced government in Harney County.

I pray everyday that there will be change and progress. The focus now is on the paper. It is imperative that the Malheur Redress is successful.  If it fails, the access to real news in Harney County will be hindered greatly. ~Founder of The Malheur Redress  https://squareup.com/store/malheur-redress

* It seems Harney County Officials can’t do anything without creating a scandal; It is being reported the County Clerk posted election results on a private Facebook page before letting the public know.

    Glad that those in Burns Oregon are standing up. I hope that things really start to turn around for them. Looks like they might have more people there working for BLM than people that don’t? I would have thought more than 30% to oust him. They need to stand strong as it is not over.

    • Judy Jackson

      Those in Burns, Oregon have clearly spoken. Yes to Steve Grasty, no to the Bundy Bunch. The outsiders that continue to harass the peoe of Burns need to.go home. They have caused enough damage.

      • Tony Atencio

        What outsiders harassing people what are you talking about do you even live in harney county

        • Max Linder

          Do you?

          • thesignmaker

            Mr. Atencio is indeed a resident of Harney County. His voice matters even if it is not heard as loud as the majority. Those of us that live here and are stuck on the Un-Grasty side are still here. We will not stop the effort to make out voices heard. It may just be an annoying little buzz at this point but eventually the county will swing to swat the mosquito. When they do, the minority will have won. The battle will reach its tipping point and the annoying buzz will grow to a BOOMING LOUD NUSANCE. We won’t be silenced forever.

          • Amanda Blankenship

            Yes, I do believe that you will make it your life’s mission to make everyone around you as miserable as possible. Keep up the good work, you’re already 29% of the way there.

            Keeping your narrow minded keyboard warrior hands engaged is just another notch in the belt of winning!!! #youcantgetmedown #iseeyoutrollinandhatin #youwontwin

        • Michael W. Herberth

          What alternate world have you been living in? Start at the”A”‘s for Anderson, move on to the “B”‘s with Bundy. Just work your way through the alphabet. Oh, don’t forget “S” for Santilli, the guy who wrote the whimpering screed above.

          • Deb Jordan

            Santilli did not write this article.

          • Michael W. Herberth

            It’s on Santilli’s website. Doesn’t matter who wrote it, it’s still a whimpering screed, and the majority of the Malheur terrorists still aren’t Harney county residents.

          • It’s actually a celebration that we are even having this debate — GO HARNEY COUNTY!!

          • thesignmaker

            Michael Herberth, I am sure your opinion is valued somewhere. Here it appears that you are just inciting violence through hate speech. I fear your following may show up with keyboards and vote for Hillary shirts. God help our country! You and your kind are at the wheel and have banned safety restraints because they are racist. Soon the tides will turn and your ship will crash. Enjoy the ride!!

          • Ashes

            Michael, How could Pete have written this article when he is still in a USA Gulag. How many times did your parents drop u when you were a baby?

          • He is not able to count that high.

          • bari2

            So you support corruption and greed? Regardless of whether or not you realize it, it does effect you!

        • Judy Rae Jackson

          ONE person who was involved in the Malheur Refuge occupation was actually from Oregon & does not live in Harney County. ALL of the others were outsiders. There are still outsiders like Meth head Billy Fisher trying to cause more trouble.

          • Proud US vet/American

            That is pure BS! Many Oregonians were were there in Burns from all over the State-get your facts together and quit cuddling up with Grasty and his “Goon” Sheriff!

          • Deb Jordan

            Judy lives in Texas in a pretty house located in a nice neighborhood – Judy has a good job -She is chained to her couch and can only puke back up what the mainstream feeds her. She has never been to Burns Oregon in her life.

          • rivers2run

            And you live where? Ohio perhaps? I think the majority of those from Harney county spoke pretty loudly that they are not fond of outsiders coming in and dictating at the point of a gun what they should do and how they should think. There is a small minority that agrees with your spin. I do live in Oregon and have been to Burns many times in case you are wondering.

          • Deb Jordan

            Not wondering at all. There are 2 sides to every story. This is the other side

          • Bob

            Please do send pictures of where the patriots pointed a gun at someone…..waiting……
            I have a feeling I will be waiting a very long time….like forever.

          • Fred Marsico

            The only ones who pointed guns were the goons who shot and killed Robert LaVoy Finicum.

          • Bill Anderson

            However, you may purchase male or female slaves from among the
            foreigners who live among you. You may also purchase the children of
            such resident foreigners, including those who have been born in your
            land. You may treat them as your property, passing them on to your
            children as a permanent inheritance. You may treat your slaves like
            this, but the people of Israel, your relatives, must never be treated
            this way. (Leviticus 25:44-46 NLT) big difference between going to a public place unarmed and doing a non violent protest, and 50 armed men going to a government building and taking control by force and threat of violence. I can’t quite understand how you can compare the 2 as the same.

            Dear Sirs,

            After extensive research on the Hammond case, We the People of these States United have reason to believe that Dwight and Steven Hammond were not afforded their rights to due process as protected by the United States Constitution.

            We have principled evidence that Dwight and Steven Hammond committed no crime in the act of performing the prescribe burn and back fire, that the U.S. Government does not have authority to enforce Territorial law under Article Four within the State of Oregon, and that the County of Harney and State of Oregon failed to protect the Hammond’s rights as guaranteed by the U.S. Constitution. USC 42.1986, 18.242, 18.121, 42.1983, 42.1985,

            We hold compelling evidence that the U.S. Government abused the federal court system, situating the Hammond family into duress as effort to force the Hammond’s to sell their Steen Mountain property to a federal agency.

            We have substantial evidence that the U.S. Attorney’s Office exploited an act of Congress, imposing cruel and unusual punishment upon residents of Harney County.

            We hold substantial evidence that inside the borders of Harney County the U.S. Government is acting outside the authority enumerated in the Constitution of the United States.

            We secure evidence that the U.S. Attorney’s Office independently prepared the indictment against Dwight & Steven Hammond, and that the Grand Jury did not properly assemble or investigate before the indictment. We have no evidence that the Grand Jury participated in the indictment altogether.

            We have sure evidence that U.S. Congress does not have authority to legislate minimum sentences, requiring Dwight and Steven Hammond to serve five years in a federal penitentiary.

            We hold confirming video evidence of federal agents exhibiting a culture of intimidation toward individuals and businesses within the borders of Harney County. That federal agents, by fire destroy private property, and that the Hammond family are being denied the same protection of the laws that are enjoyed by federal agents.

            We have supporting evidence that Judge Hogan controlled the narrative and did not allow full disclosure in the courtroom. We have additional evidence that Dwight and Steven Hammond were sentenced for something different than what they were found guilty of.

            We hold sounding evidence that Dwight and Steven Hammond are victims of cruel and unusual punishment, and that the U.S. Justice Department is violating the 8th Amendment.

            We hold sure evidence that Dwight and Steven Hammond are being subject for the same offense twice put in jeopardy. Including that the Ninth District Court of Appeals is in violation of the 5th Amendment.

            We have obtained appalling evidence that the U.S. Attorney’s Office threatened the Hammond family with early detention and further punishment, if the Hammond family continued to communicate with a certain individual. This evidence foundationally speaks against the U.S. Attorneys Office in their gross effort to infringe upon the Hammond’s right to free exercise of speech. 1st Amendment, USC 18.242

            In a commitment to expose the truth and administrate justice, We the People of these States United insist that you immediately assemble an independent Evidential Hearing Board (EHB) comprised of the people of Harney County in accordance with Common Law principals. That the Evidential Hearing Board call witnesses and investigate each of these allegations publicly. That the Evidential Hearing Board make public conclusions in writing upon their findings. That the Harney County Board of Commissioners and the Sheriff’s Department enforce the conclusions of the Evidential Hearing Board in support of the United States Constitution. We further insist that the Hammond family be protected from reporting to federal prison until all allegations can be determined.

            We need not remind you of your lawful duty to act on these matters as insisted, nor of the consequences if you knowingly neglected your duty. USC 18.2382, 18.2071, 18.2076, 42.1983, 42.1985, 42.1986

            In light of the information presented, we require your thoughtful response within 5 days of the date of this notice. If we do not receive your response within 5 days, we will have no choice but to understand that you do not wish to do your duty and are content in acting in negligence to your solemn oath to the people who have placed you in this fiduciary position and in defiance of your obligation to defend the Rights and Liberties of the people. Therefore, govern yourself accordingly.

            Yes I live in Ohio. And yes the majority spoke very clearly, as they always do in Harney County. But this is a story about the 30% that had their say too. And they will continue to have a say. One day they will figure it out and they will become the majority. Isn’t that awesome to know? “These developments should not surprise any student of history. Oppressed people cannot remain oppressed forever. The yearning for freedom eventually manifests itself.” ~ Martin Luther King JR

          • bari2

            So you live in Oregon and have been to Burns! Good for you! What you need to realize is this has had an effect on the whole country! When the government spends millions of taxpayer dollars, and murders an innocent man, it is the busy of all of us!

          • Judy Jackson

            Yeah, no.This really didn’t have much of an effect on the whole country. MOST people have no clue who Pete, Deb, or any of these other people are. The lack of news coverage kind of proves that the Bundy Bunch are NOT the big deals they think they are. Fox isn’t even covering this & Fox usually LOVES this kind of nonsense. You people have an over inflated sense of self importance.

          • bari2

            Well there you have it, you get your news from Fox! That says a lot! You know! I don’t believe the Bundy’s “think they are a big deal”! But to a lot of people they are a big deal! How would you like to have lived under the harassment that their family has had to endure for years? And it’s not right!! I will speak up and stand in support of their family and any family that is bullied the way they have been. Whether you or anyone else likes it or not! Just keep in mind, you and your family could be next. If you don’t believe that, well then you better get your head out of the sand lady!

          • Judy Rae Jackson

            No, I don’t get my news from Fox. I watch very little television. We don’t have cable/ satellite/dish. IF the Bundy’s are such a big deal, WHERE are their supporters. The rallies held to support these people have been failures. My family & I take care of our own business. We work hard & pay our own way. Not too worried.

          • bari2

            The Bundy’s, and the rest of them for that matter, have millions of supporters! Just because the MSM doesn’t report it doesn’t mean they don’t exist! As for the rallies. If only one person showed up it would not mean it was a failure! Good for you for being a hard worker. Even hard workers are being bullied by this government! As a matter of fact there are Native Americans that ate being bullied by the government. So don’t be so naïve thinking that it couldn’t happen to you! Do some research and see just how many American’s are being targeted by the government. Pay close attention to their stories. The government wants to land, it’s Agenda 21! If we don’t all standup in support of our fellow country men we will have no country or neighbors to standup for!

          • Judy Jackson

            And where are those millions of supporters? They weren’t at the rallies that were held across the USA in March. I know because I was at the Fort Worth rally location & no one showed up. My best friend was at the Amarillo rally location & no one showed up. Another good friend was at the Austin rally location & no one showed up. The Portland Rally had more attendees than every other city in the USA combined. I do know that one group of ladies are taking the summer off because it is tan season & “nothing much is going on”. NO ONE showed up at David Fry’s last hearing despite the promises of support from people like Michelle Fiore. David stuck it out longer than anyone else at Malheur & the Bundy’s have totally thrown him under the bus. IF every single Bundy supporter sent in $1.00, all legal bills would be covered. WHY hasn’t that happened? $1.00 is not that much. One of the patriot ladies was bemoaning the fact that hundreds of thousands of people have shown up across the country to support other causes. WHERE are the Bundy supporters? It is a simple question.

            As to the Native Americans? Ryan Bundy made it very clear that “the Paiutes have made themselves irrelevent.” This is a direct quote.

          • bari2

            First and foremost I was not referring to the Paiutes. So what if Ryan Bundy said that! It was obvious to me by the actions of the Paiutes that they couldn’t have cared less about their artifacts! So do some research. Navajo, Western Shoshone, Apache, to just name a few! You think because people don’t go to rallies means no one supports them! You could not be more wrong! Answer me this, what is so wrong about them wanting to educate people? Why did the government not want them going to speak to the people of John Day? Why did Grasty refuse to allow them a place to hold a meeting in Burns? Why was Pete arrested and not allowed to go to the refuge to get people out? Why were their Constitutional rights denied then, and why are they continued to be denied? Why was Mark McConnell not held in custody to stand trail? Why did they fire so many rounds into Lavoy Finicum’s truck after they murdered him? Do you want me to go on with these questions?

          • Judy Jackson

            They don’t know how to educate people. NO ONE needs guns to “educate people”. Their version of the Constitution was annotated by a Mormon fundamenalist who wanted to turn the USA into a theocracy. The claims made by Skousen have been debunked by 230 years of history, case law & SCOTUS decisions. Pete was arrested because he was part of the occupation. These men are a flight risk & that is why they have been denied bail. IF the Bundy’s were to go back to Bunkerville, the guns would come out again & they would NEVER stand trial. I have no idea about Mark McConnell; maybe because he cooperated? Maybe he is a snitch? I do know that his life has been threatened on numerous occasions. The simple truth is that there is no honor among thieves & it is only a matter of time before ALL of these men are making deals & turning on each other. The only one who might not make a deal is Stanley but for him, jail is probably preferable to dealing with real life. Between his long rap sheet, poor employment history, wife, kids & girlfriend? He is probably happier in jail.

          • Ted

            Traitor, you speak of outsiders, and yet this is America! We are free to go where we want! When we want! We are not outsiders, we are Americans! We are Americans, even in your town of traitors! And, we’re exercising our 1st amendment right for the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances. Furthermore! Traitor, our 2nd amendment right of the people allows us to keep and bear Arms, and it shall not be infringed, even in your town!

            You oath breaking traitors should really rewrite the U.S. Constitution, so that you don’t have to be oath breaking law breaking, traitors! But you know that would awaken a sleeping giant, just like Pearl Harbor!

          • Judy Jackson

            Judy actually works full time so her taxes can help support mooching bums & grifters like Pete & Deb. Since I got the ankle brace, I am back at work. When is Pete going to try to make a deal? I saw that Fluffy Unicorn Booda is cutting a deal. WHO will star in the next episode of “As the Patriots Rat Out Their Brothers”?

          • Bob

            Sounds to me like you need more than an ankle brace, maybe some eyesight and a new heart? ~~~”He has blinded their eyes and hardened their hearts, so they can neither see with their eyes, nor understand with their hearts, nor turn–and I would heal them.” John 12:40

          • Your words fall on deaf ears, she does not know of these ways.

            Glad to hear you are back to work Judy and I assume you are on the mend. I didn’t realize you were a supporter of our work!! Please send donations to the petesantillishow.com/donate You’re awesome – thanks!!

          • Judy Jackson

            I am awesome but my donations stay in my own community, usually to groups that benefit women, children & animals. Seditionists like you & Pete can find your own way to make money. How is your BFF Maureen Peltier doing these days? There are a lot of people kind of worried that she is in the stages of a psychotic break.

            Watch the videos. Read his Facebook page. The conclusion is either alcohol or drugs. Meth is super popular among people like Billy. I saw a lot of people like Billy when I volunteered with a rehab group.

          • bari2

            People like Billy? What kind of people is that?

          • Judy Rae Jackson

            Drug addicts & alcoholics. Take a long, hard look at these people. Chronically unemployed, constantly asking for donations, abandoning their families. These are not healthy people.

          • bari2

            You don’t know that to be facts and WHO are you to judge!

          • And here you are again .. why did you volunteer to help drug addicts and alcoholics?

          • Judy Rae Jackson

            Because a good friend of mine died from a drug overdose in college. I have several family members who have fought alcohol addiction. My best friend just celebrated 30 years clean after kicking cocaine. I wanted to try to help & our group
            did help a lot of people to get clean & straight. We helped them to find jobs & places to live. They became hard working, contributing members of society. My family raised all of us to be volunteers in our community. It is what we do.

          • I don’t believe a single word you just said after the disgusting things you leave in this thread. You are nothing but a bitter old woman that takes to the internet to work out her hatred because everyone else got tired of listening to your mouth a long long time ago.

          • Judy Rae Jackson

            Deb, you can believe whatever you want. It doesn’t matter. We have all see & heard you people. You are grifters & con artists who scam desperate people. The fighting between the various groups is just one of the reasons you will fail, Pete will do prison time unless he cuts a deal. It is what it is, no matter how you try to spin it.

          • Why do I find this hard to believe?

          • Chandie Bartell

            These people??? Again you don’t know these people or the problems “our” people have in rural America.

          • “People like Billy” <— Did you really just say that? And you say you volunteered with a rehab group? And what did you contribute? Did you have an open forum to judge and belittle "people like Billy" like you do here? Did they allow you to speak to "people like Billy" as condescendingly as you do in these threads? I am getting the idea you are not a very good person on the inside Judy. Pretty disgusting really.

          • Judy Jackson

            “People like (insert name here) is NOT an insult in the real world. People like Eldad Hagar work tirelessly to help abandoned animals. People like Mark Zuckerberg donate millions to charity. People like Billy need professional help. He loves to brag about his daughter & how he got custody of her. WHO is raising this little girl while her daddy is camping in the woods & fighting with the other guardians of the shrine? I am sorry but as someone who lost their only child in a mass shooting, people who leave their kids to play whatever games Billy is playing are not going to get much sympathy or empathy from me. I would give ANYTHING to have my son back & these people CHOOSE to walk out on their kids.

          • It is an insult if you don’t put the nicety behind it you old crank.

          • Chandie Bartell

            He is from Salmon, Idaho and has a broken back.

          • thesignmaker

            Judy, how many times have you been to Harney County? Did you know there is actually a population of diversely thinking people here?? You probably have never been here and you probably don’t realize that people in this community do have a voice. There is a majority here SCREAMING for change. This election did nothing but cement a number for the minority. Next time you come to Harney county seek out someone in the minority. Find a rancher, a farmer, or even someone who worked for Monaco long ago. Each of those demographics will have an opinion in support of the minority.

      • petesantillishow

        What about the 30% ? Have they not clearly spoken? 30% of a population who are active can change things — and I am sure over time they will see great changes —

      • Bob

            ~~~~Have a great day ~~~~
          • I think that scripture is talking about people like you
          • Amanda Blankenship
            No, it’s the Jews getting all happy about killing infants. You should read your Bible more.
      • Dave
        Outsiders! How American! Stand with tyranny, live with tyranny!
        The wonderful thing of tyranny is it has no affiliation, and impacts everyone! it spawns paranoia’s evil 10 eyed, 20 tenticle monster! Your leaders are going to watch everything, and everyone, always! You will be in a police state, as they beef up, due entirely to their paranoia! Burns is feeling that, and will continue! As long as you keep your leaders, and sheriff, you will have a paranoid environment! As long as you stand against the U.S. Constitution, and stand with oath breaking traitors, you will live in a paraniod state! Best of all, you will be under the boot! That oath breaking traitor that pulls you over, won’t know you from Adam, so don’t scratch that itch! Don’t twitch! Or, you just might find yourself on the side of the road being worked on. Smell the tyranny! No town is more deserving!
        • Amanda Blankenship
          The crazy thing is I can’t tell if this is parody or not.
          • Says the person with a fake account and yet another photo of someone she only wishes she could be. I’m still trying to figure out if you’re a parody —
          • Amanda Blankenship
            Fake account, true words. If you guys weren’t so prone to threats and violence I could safely engage in a “face to face” conversation. Sadly, some of you have some serious mental health and violence issues and since you all say the same things it’s hard to pick out the genuinely insane from someone just parroting stuff they saw on a YouTube video.
          • bari2
            What threats and violence? No one threatened anybody nor used violence! Except for the ones brought into Burns by the governor of Oregon. You know the ones! The same ones that would not identify themselves! The ones that Chris Briels caught snoping around town and lied about who they were! How would you like government thugs coming into your town and harassing good, decent, hardworking people? Furthermore, Missy, I am grateful to Pete and Deb for being there so that Americans could see what was going on! for that what Dennis Michael Lynch went to Bunkerville in 2014 and video taped what was taking place. So stop spewing your lies about threats and violence! The only violence that took place was at the hands of corrupt government bureaucrats!
          • Amanda Blankenship
            Yup, all those videos and audio recording and witnesses of the patriots threatened violence – all false. Right?
          • Dave
            “Amanda, have you seen that car before?” “No, I haven’t. I wonder who it is.” “Me too.” “I think we need to let the sheriff know.”
            “Amanda, who’s that?” “I don’t know. Never seen him before.” “Oh my. I wonder if he’s an …” “Me too.” “Better call the sheriff.”
            “Amanda, is that another MRAP?” “Looks like it.” “Isn’t that five now?” “Five or six.” “Can’t be to safe!”
            “Amanda, is that another federal agent?” “Yes, there’s hundreds of them now! Everywhere you go in this county!”
            “Amanda, is that a spy cam on that street light?” “Yes. They are all over town now!” “Street lights. Stop lights. Stores. You can’t go anywhere in this town without being watched!” “I know! It’s getting weird. Weirder than usual!”
            “Amanda, did you here about Joe?” “No. What happened?” “He was driving down the street, and stopped to say hi to John. Ya know the neighbor that supported the Hammonds, and thought they were railroaded by corrupt sheriffs and politicians.” “Right?” “They fired him!” “Well, he should not have been talking to John.”
            “Amanda, did you here about John?” “No. What happened?” “They killed him.” “What?!” “Yes. Shot him in his own yard!” “What?! Why?” “They say he was watering his flowers, and a deputy drove up, and he turned around with the hose in his hand, and they shot him.” Why?” “They thought the hose was a weapon.” “Wow! Everyone is sure getting paranoid these days!”
            Stand with tyranny! Live with tyranny! Don’t let the monster consume you!
          • Ted
            Demon lover! Makes sense that that is who you identify with! Go’n to the forest with your coven, for the witch dance? Bet you are! Another reason to be armed in harney county!
          • Amanda Blankenship
            You’d have to shoot me with a silver bullet dipped in troll blood. Even the FBI doesn’t stock those.
  • JP
    30% are against him? Sounds like you don’t quite have a majority there Skippy but look at you try to spin this as good news.
    • petesantillishow
      It is good news — 30% is a good first try.
    • thesignmaker
      Battle of Chancellorsville, 1863
      The Battle of New Orleans, War of 1812
      The Battle of Little Big Horn
      Almost always, the creative dedicated minority has made the world better. -MLKJ
      It’s a fools errand to try to intimidate and belittle those fewer in number who disagree with the majority. History has proved the minority is not to be underestimated. Hold your ground and agree with the tyrannical rule that is currently in effect but when you start to get cocky and in your own mind discredit the ability of the minority you only add to the success that WILL be a minority victory.
      • Amanda Blankenship
        And sometimes you are a minority because you are just plain wrong.
        • I challenge this person to take the sign maker up on their offer. Go spend a day or two in Harney county with a family that has lost everything. Look them in the eye and call them and their children the names you call them so easily behind your faked persona. Let me know when you get back.
          • Amanda Blankenship
            What family would that be who has “lost everything” and how are they different from the millions of Americans who “lose everything” every year, only to build themselves back up and rejoin society? Capitalism is hard, and to be successful at it compromises must be made and adjustment set it. The economic America of fifty years ago is long gone, and if the hardship is just reaching rural Oregon then they are doing pretty well.
          • What’s going on in Harney County is anything but Capitalism.
          • Amanda Blankenship
            Capitalism has been banned in Harney County? Wow, THAT is some headline news – why aren’y you reporting on THAT??
          • The following statement is just plain ignorance – “if the hardship is just reaching rural Oregon then they are doing pretty well.”
          • Amanda Blankenship
            So, would you say that the hardship in the rural west has been ongoing then, since like 1920 or so? When I was born there my town had 1800 people, now it has 1200. Why? Because the people moved away to find work, that’s why. There is no right to have the same job forever, no right to have the government subsidize your cattle grazing, no right to land you don’t own.
            None of these things are “rights” yet you whine that they are being “taken away” by the evil federal government. If you honestly think that the most important issue defining our times is federaly subsidized grazing leases in the rural west then you have a hole in your head.
        • bari2
          Amanda I strongly recommend you study the Constitution! Educate yourself on the part about petitioning the government for redress of grievances! I could understand your thinking and attitude about them being wrong, but common on, 30% of the voters want him to be held accountable! Grasty is a government thug who thinks he owns Burns!
    • Ted
      60% work for the feds there Junior P. I would not be to cocky! The corruption is about to be made public, the BLM will be the scorn of America, and then your little fed party will be over! Then what! Think you’ll have any friends! Think America is going to rally around a bunch of corrupt traitors! You all sold out, and it will come back to bite you square in the arss!
    • bari2
      It is good news! It is wonderful news! People are standing up against the corruption of Grasty! I am celebrating with them!!
  • Ben Slade
    Political Corruption is what passes for Political Science these days. Time for the big “IF” the “ELECTION” were not “RIGGED” would that explain the “RESULTS”?
    • GrumpyDave
      Politics has been corrupt by definition and inclination since the beginning of history. It is the personal moral compass of every individual politician that determines whether or not their term in office is more or less corrupt. When you have a group of progressive idealist in office at the same time (the theory is) that what corruption there is is somewhat offset by the benefits to the greater number of citizens than when a group of selfish, greedy bastards, whose focus is on profit and immediate “family” (party, race, religion, etc.) is at the helm. Of course there is corruption in the system; it’s whether politicians choose to be corrupt that makes the difference.
  • Max Linder
    Good try at spinning this, but 70% of 1/2 the registered voters in a county is a clear defeat especially for a guy who did not run for re-election and will be out of office in December. Think the take away is that the county is tired of this and want you all to leave them alone.
    • petesantillishow
      We all didn’t petition to recall him — the people did. You know, the people in Harney County who aren’t allowed to say anything? Well they just did. They forced him to go through the paces. 0% to 30% in 6 months, shows a good start for a grassroots movement in Harney County.
    • petesantillishow
      This statistic is not surprising considering most everyone works for the government in Harney County. I think that’s the whole point here. A year ago 30% would have been too afraid to do this. Demanding a recall is not illegal nor is it a bad thing to do. The 30% did it the right way. I find it admirable.
    • thesignmaker
      Oh Max this made me giggle!!! You must have missed the bigger picture. I could draw it out for you, maybe in crayon. That would probably be easier for your brain to process. When you don’t like the rules it doesn’t mean you get to make up your own. Grasty clearly in someway wronged roughly 30% of those of us that live and work here in Harney County. It’s ok though, he didn’t get recalled very few actually thought he would be recalled. This recall did paint a picture for him though. Not everyone loves Mr. Nasty Grasty!!! As a citizen of Harney County I can honestly say I am relieved that there is still a media presence here covering the issues that main stream refuse to even entertain. Don’t worry though! I will leave all the blanket statements for you and the other negative nancy outsiders because I know that not all of Harney County is thrilled with the results and indeed do not want left alone but truth seeking media. In fact it would be a good assumption to assume that about 800 people are still very happy with the attention of people like Deb. It’s ok though you can live in your fantasy world, I hope y’all at least have good snacks. All the ignorance and hate mongering would make me pretty h-angry!
  • Joe Fogey
    Looks like Sheriff Ward for the win!
    • Deb Jordan
      I don’t know – Alan Johnson is well liked
  • Proud US vet/American
    The 42% that didn’t vote are cowards, the 30% that did are American Patriots, and the outsiders that were there in January are American heroes. Grasty-you are a socialist POS! Always remember Grasty, the 111% and the OATH KEEPERS are “ALWAYS” in Burns, and our ARMY is just a phone call away!
    MOLON LABE
    • JP
      Where was your army in January when there was a stand to be made? Probably whining online like you’re doing now.
      • Bob
        OUR ARMY is right where it needs to be at all times. “The LORD thunders at the head of his army; his forces are beyond number, and mighty is the army that obeys his command. The day of the LORD is great; it is dreadful. Who can endure it?” Joel 2:11 Certainly not Grasty or Ward or ANYONE who came against His people! Watch and See
      • Proud US vet/American
        The outsider’s (Idaho lll% crowd) stepped the Oregon border and took the lead-the Oregon OATH KEEPERS were only called as an after thought and were never consulted before hand. Our advice and council was rejected and not used, and you can see by the results how things came out! The Idaho lll% majorly “Screwed the pooch” on this op. The results and Lavoy’s death are both on their hands-not the OATH KEEPERS!
    • Judy Jackson
      HAHAHAHAHAHAHA. Because you did SO WELL during the Malheur occupation? Keep posting, it makes it SO much easier for arrest warrants to be issued.
  • Angry Grandma
    Quite a spin there, but typical for you all. Like the spin that is going around on the cooperative witnesses too. Spin, spin, spin is all you do. However the majority of Americans see it for what it is,spin. The 30% may have other gripes, not agree with the seditionist fools. And now that some have come to their senses and will be testifying your hero Bundy bunch will be spending a lot of time behind bars. And let us not forget those brave souls that have infiltrated “militia” groups, they will be taking more down and as usual no one will be the wiser until more arrests come. The faketriot world is crumbling and the majority of Americans knew it was coming. Glorify in the spin while you can, it’s fun to watch this all spiralling down.
    • Bob
      And The Lord will have the last say Grandma! “I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End.” Revelation 22:13 Sounds like you will be spiraling “DOWN”, but as for the “Bundy bunch” they will be spiraling “UP” 😉 Have a great day.
    • Deb Jordan
      Not spin – This is exactly how the people feel and relayed it to me. They actually take great pride in their effort and that effort was legal and binding. The people are saying they take issue with the way Grasty handled the Occupation not that they agreed with the occupation. They have a right to that say.
      • Judy Rae Jackson
        Less than 1/3 is not any kind of win. You can spin it all you eant, doesn’t change the facts.
        • Bob
          Yep it doesn’t change the facts that this has been a set up from the beginning with many evildoers involved to steal the land.
          “For evildoers will be cut off, But those who wait for the LORD, they will inherit the land.” Psalms 37:9
        • Deb Jordan
          Again this is not spin – There is another side to this story as there always is. The political movement in Burns is just beginning. Last year there was a 0% chance that Grasty would ever be recalled – In 6 months that is up 30% – You can’t even give them credit for that? This story is not about the occupation — It’s about people getting involved — It’s legal and it’s good for their local government. Cheering them on.
        • Ashes
          Judy, what this recall election has pointed out yet again is that the majority are always too brain dead to see the corruption that is right under their noses. “Let the chains set lightly against your wrists”
        • thesignmaker
          No one ever made a bumper sticker for their C- student. Grasty got a C- in this election. He may have passed but there is lots of room for improvement.
    • svizzerams
      Yep, the system worked. The People have spoken, and the recall went down in flames spectacularly. Well done Harney County. The backpedaling and spin to reframe a defeat as something positive is bemusing.
    • Mary Ellen
      The only thing that is spiraling down is our country. Stop drinking the Kool-Ade. Our corrupt government will get around to coming after after you too. Stand up for our country while you can. God Bless America!
  • Bob
    A word to all who came against the good people standing for their rights and coming to the aid of a brother:
    BUT God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done,
    the SAVING of many lives.” Genesis 50:20
    A word to all who stand with the good people who stood up for their rights and came to the aid of a brother:
    “And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good,
    for those who are called according to his purpose.” Romans 8:28
    • Mary Ellen
      I stand with the Bundys, Finicums, Hammonds, etc., and Pete Santilli! They were the wake-up call for me to what is really going on in our corrupt federal government. I’ve been protesting, donating my money, what little I have to donate, and sharing their stories. God Bless America and everyone who is fighting the tyranny of our Traitor-in-Chief, Barack Hussein Obama, may he rot in hell for eternity.
  • Tuaca1107
    I would like everyone to know that Gerry Spence’s Law Firm is looking at the Bundy’s case; is interested in representing the Bundy’s, but wants to know there is plenty of public support for the Bundy’s situation.
    Call, e-mail; or phone Spence Law Firm and tell them you support the Bundy’s and would like them to support Bundy’s too. I have provided the link.
    http://www.spencelawyers.com/contact/
    • Judy Rae Jackson
      What the Spence Law Firm REALLY wants to know is who is going to pay the bills?
      • Tuaca1107
        Yea I knew I forgot to mention that they don’t want any money. My county commissioner has been talking to and e-mailing them. They don’t want $$$$$. They just want to know you support the Bundy’s!!
      • thesignmaker
        You actually can make a donation to the Bundy legal fund. I can find the link for you to make a generous donation!!!
        • Judy Rae Jackson
          My donation go to local groups, not grifting seditionists.
    • Dave
      Sounds like lawyers to stay away from! Let’s see, which way is the wind blowing today?
    • Mary Ellen
      Most of America does support the Bundys. We are outraged at what is going on out there. Thank you for the link!
      • Tuaca1107
        Thank you!!!! We have to win this. And this is not about wanting $$$$, just the support!
        • Mary Ellen
          Anything I can do to help. I shared your post with the link on the Bundy’s FB and in many Patriot groups on FB that I belong to. Hopefully, many will follow suit.
  • Well jeeze how odd about 60% of the voters want to keep their corrupt burocrat hack when 60% are his financial slaves. Inconceivable.
  • Miley Seim
    Only someone as desperate and pathetic as The Pete Santilli Show would call a 70/30 defeat
    “Scoring Big On Holding Him Accountable”. Thanks for the laughs Deb!
      No one ever made a bumper sticker for their C- student. Grasty got a C- in this election. He may have passed but there is lots of room for improvement.
      • Miley Seim
        Thanks for sharing that your thoughts are limited to an odd elementary school grading system. You’re not much of a deep thinker are you?
  • Amanda Blankenship
    Yes, they wasted $7,000 of taxpayers money just to prove that the vast majority of Harney County hates their guts. Great strategic victory guys.
    • They didn’t have to waste 7,000$ of taxpayer money to prove that Amanda. I am amused that you chose to use the word “hate” because it is exactly the right word. Yes – they hate them.
      • Amanda Blankenship
        I suppose that being loathed is some kind of victory for you because it gives you martyrdom cred? Doesn’t help much in achieving whatever it is that your goals are, but if it makes you feel better about yourself then go with that.
        • Right back at-cha —
          • Amanda Blankenship
            I’m not in this to be a martyr, I’m in this to protect our public lands. The deal is that while you may despise me for trying to protect our public land heritage for our ancestors, most Americans approve of my goals – not yours. Though in honesty, saying that people loathe you is probably overreach because you ineptness, misinformation and stupidity are more humorous than anything else.
          • Mary Ellen
            What planet are you on, Amanda? Most AMERICANS support the ranchers and Pete Santilli. I live in New York and have been following this debacle for over two years now. If you live in Oregon, you need to learn about what is truly going on there before they run you out of town next. My advice to you, listen to Gavin Seim’s videos on You Tube. Most of America is waking up to the treasonous corruption of the federal government. They are just one presidential election away from being charged and tried for treason. Mark my words. America IS watching! The Bundys, Hammonds, Finicums, Pete Santilli, etc. are all political prisoners of war, excepting Mr. Finicum, of course, because he was assassinated.
          • Amanda Blankenship
            Most of America supports federal control of our federal public lands – close to 90%.
          • Mary Ellen
            Not in the America I live in. Our federal government is about to be overtaken by Patriots and the Military. Where have you been hiding?
          • You are in it for attention in the threads — Attention you solicit and then whine about.
    • thesignmaker
      Dammit now all the old people are gonna starve!!! F*%& me running!!! We wasted $7000 on a lawful, correctly executed government process. Guess we better call in Hitler! He didn’t care about human rights but by god we know he never let any money be spent on anything done correctly and through the due process of a republic!!! Maybe he would fund a gas chamber and we can just euthanize the 30%???
  • Alfred Smith
    Held accountable? You can’t even get a force together to stand guard over a pile of rocks along a highway. Good luck storming the castles. You snacktavists have certainly been entertaining for six months.
  • bari2
    It may not have been a win, but 30% sent a real clear message to Grasty! Good for them!
  • Mary Ellen
    I am so confused right now. I went on the Malheur Redress FB page and found that they are happy that the judge won and was not ousted. What don’t I understand?
    • Mary Ellen
      Never mind. I see what I found so confusing. Your opponents are posting their pleasure that the judge was not ousted on the Malheur Redress FB page. I must point out that no one else seems to be posting there, and the administrator thanked them for their insight. As an outsider, I honestly thought they were not on your side, until I found their Web site and read their newsletter. Where are your supporters, and why are they not posting their views? Seems very one-sided, and not the correct side at all.
  • Dave Irons
    When was the last time that anyone had 100% majority in any election, regardless of whether it was recall vote or kids voting for class president? Seventy percent of the residents of Harney County think their recent “guests” and those who buy their happy pile of bovine exhaust are out to lunch. Claim a moral victory if you must, but it appears that you got your backsides handed to you yet again.
